Description

Cullen Grummitt & Roe has been working with ACT since 2005. The projects CGR has been involved with to date include preparing the masterplan for the development of the terminal, the design and site supervision of container yards 1A and 1B, structural surveys of the wharf soffit and subsequently the specification of repairs to the wharf soffit.

CGR supervised the installation of a new rear crane beam on the existing 540m wharf to enable larger quay cranes to operate on the wharf. The works involved:

• 
  Demolition of the deck
• 
  Crane beam reconstruction
• 
  Installation of a new rear crane rail
• 
  Installation of all associated rail fittings

CGR also carryed out the detailed design of  the port expansion. The works involved:

• 
  the development of 460m of wharf expansion,
• 
  the reclamation of the container yard behind the new 460m wharf,
• 
  the development of pavements, services, drainage and associated works for approximately 14Ha of new RTG operated container yards,
• 
  updated electrical works as required for the new developments.
