Description

Terminal 4 S.A (Maersk Sealand)  is the operator of Pier 4, North Port, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Terminal 4 was awarded the concession to redevelop the terminal as part of the privatisation of the North Port. The site of the works was originally developed in the early 1900’s and is therefore in need of repair and upgrade for the modern container handling operations to be now carried out at the terminal.

CGR was awarded the detailed design, supervision and project management for the redevelopment of Terminal 4.

The proposed redevelopment of the terminal included demolition of the existing grain terminal including underground conveyors and storage facilities, rehabilitation of the existing quay wall drainage, strengthening of the quay wall by way of soil anchors and new crane beams, fenders, pavements, services and other miscellaneous works to enable modern container handling equipment to be used.

Detailed design of the proposed redevelopment and supervision of the demolition works were completed by CGR.
