Description

Cullen Grummitt & Roe was commissioned to provide detailed design, site supervision and project management services for a new container terminal to be constructed within the jurisdiction of Puerto La Plata in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

In addition to the main civil works, CGR was also commissioned to design and supervise the electrical installations for the new terminal.

The scope of electrical works design includes:

• The main and secondary substations
• High voltage distribution network
• High voltage feed to the gantry cranes
• High mast lighting to the quay and container yard areas
• Low voltage installations
• Reefer installations
• Emergency (generator) back up installations

CGR was also responsible for the project managements and contract administration for the execution of the electrical works. The electrical design was carried out by a specialist electrical sub-consultancy under CGR`s management.
