CGR supported TIL during its successful concession bid for development of a new, semi-automated container terminal at the Port of Ashdod, Israel. CGR prepared layouts and cost estimates for the concession bid as well as detailed construction schedules and sustainability plans for the infrastructure works.
Following the bid phase, CGR was commissioned to undertake the detailed design of this new container facility. The terminal consists of tow quays of 800m and 500m in length and 63ha of container stacking yards and associated facilities. The terminal is operated by Automatic Stacking Cranes (ASC) and includes an intermodal yard, a gate complex, an administrative building, workshop and operations buildings, customs facilities and wash down facilities. These infrastructure works were constructed on the finished reclamation platform following the completion of the construction works carried out on behalf of Israel Ports Development & Assets Company (IPC).
