Building Services Engineer (Electrical)

The Company:

CGR is an engineering consultancy specialising in the planning, design and development of world class port and harbour facilities and associated infrastructure,in particular related to container terminals.

The successful candidate for this role will be based at CGR's head office in Kingston-upon-Thames.

The Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers to help deliver building engineering services in the port and harbour sector. The ideal candidate will have na understanding of all aspects of building services design, including:

• Electrical systems design
• Lighting systems design
• Fire alarm systems design
• Security systems design
• Lighting protection systems design

The roles includes the need to:

• Prepare reports, specification and design reports in line with company quality assurance procedures and client requirements as well as applicable standards and codes of practice
• Support in contract administration by reviewing design submissions to ensure compliance with local codes and standards as well as client requirements

Skills Requirements:

• Knowledge of industry standards software such as Hevacomp, Amtech and Dialux would be an advantage
• Ideally degree qualified however industry accredited candidates will also be considered
• The ability to works and communicate effectively with senior staff members
• Flexible approach to completing tasks in a timely manner
• Willingness to travel on short assignments both within the UK and overseas (subjects to COVID-19 restrictions)
• Driver's license and passport
