On 11th March 2013 Aqaba Container Terminal (ACT) celebrated a major milestone in the Berth Expansion Project - the completion of 200m of the extended quay length. The celebration coincided with a delivery of new cranes: two STS and four RTG. This latest development is part of ACT`s expansion project which will increase it`s annual capacity to 1.5 million TEUs making it a major Gateway to Jordan, Iraq and other countries of the region.
CGR has been involved in the expansion works from the master planning stage, most recently providing detailed design, project management and site supervision for the expansion project. We are extremely proud to have reached this milestone achievement and look forward to the successful completion of the Berth Expansion Project later in 2013.
