Description

CGR was commissioned to undertake the planning, detailed design and documentation for all of the works as well as site supervision and contract administration associated with development of the Posorja Port Terminal for Alinport. The first stage of the development involved the construction of a new container facility to cater for post panamax vessels.

The scope of works for the project includes:

  • Construction of 600m of wharf
  • Dredging of the berth pocket to cater for post panamax operations
  • Ground improvement, reclamation and earthworks including preload / surcharging and installation of wick / band drains
  • Pavements and services works, including reefer access platforms and reefer area pavements, equipment wash facilities, waste water systems, light tower foundations and other miscellaneous works
  • Building works including an administration building, canteen, amenities area, workshop, substation building gate complex, customs building and anti-narcotic offices
  • Electrical works for sub-station, floodlighting systems, quay gantry cranes, reefer plugs and back up power requirements

The specification, procurement and supervision of geotechnical studies and site enabling works were included as part of CGR`s commission. The scope of services also included data collection, preparation of tender documents and management and site supervision of topography and preliminary earthworks.

The works are on hold due to the local political and economic climate.
